HAPPY EARTH DAY As promised....turtle hunting results

Went out to commune with nature this morning. Took my coffee and was going to start the water when, dun dun dah....I spotted two turtles having a talk.

I called Shelley and the grands and the hunt was on. Better than hunting silly old colored eggs.

We found Willow's friend (second sighting, she got away last time), King of the backyard, Ms. Ugly, a baby, (who is about 2.5" in length) yet without a name, poor thang and lastly George. Shelley found George year's ago, walking down a very busy street. He was just about the size of this baby when we found him.

  1. No wonder you love them so. Just looking at pictures you can see that each has their own personality.

  2. I love box turtles. they are so cool. And fearless. they will stick their head right out and look at you. My red ear slider, at the slightest movement will duck her head back in. Hold her up and look at her and she stays in her shell all the while struggling to get out of your grasp.

  3. That sounds like one of the best ways to spend the day. I love all of the turtles, but the last picture is awesome. He (or she) looks smug and ready for the 5 minutes of internet fame. :)

  4. They are fabulous creatures!

  5. What a cute turtle! We have a turtle too and his name is Turtle. LOL

  6. Ohhhhhhhh, I love the turtles! How sweet!

  7. How cute! I had to smile while scrolling down! Just lovely...

  8. YAY!! The turtles came out!!!!
Great photos, Linda!! Hope to see many more pictures this summer.
