Hello again

I have been resting. I have been out of the loop. I still have pneumonia. Yep, but I'm not in hospital. Stupid doctors. They put me on steroids and a nuclear weapon amount of Anti-be sicks and the drugs which kicked my butt. I took probiotics and lots of water but I had never, ever been on steroids and I was am more a lunatic, and not in a good love the moon kinda way, than usual. I didn't even know what to expect. I know they can be very helpful but come on. I feel worse than before. When I called to ask, I was also told that you cannot have a reaction to steroids.........excuse me? Are you taking the drugs you don't give away? Did yo mamma drop you on yo head? No reaction to....yeah right.

So I haven't been here to post. That could be a good thing cuz only nasty thoughts and unkind ramblings would pour out...oh wait. No that's on the other blog huh?

I have been lurking in the wings of the theatre and reading your blogs though. You all are funny, smart, clever, talented and funny. Oh I said that. The only other time I have been this out of it, without benefit of strong drink or pain killers after surgery (wow, I am told I am a really fun date then) was when I gave birth with no anesthesia. Your brain is your protector. Shut down, run on low, don't overdue, just coast.....yep I'm being protected by an affected piece of human tissue. Sorry lovelies, have a good weekend.

  1. When I had pneumonia last Winter I was on TWO courses of steroids. My husband basically hid from me. Pneumonia takes MONTHS to recover from (2-3 usually). I too became impatient, however, in doing too much too soon you will only set yourself back. Rest, drink drink drink and if your intuition tells you that you're not feeling as if you're healing, hit the ER and have a chest x-ray and workup. Stupid family doctors are usually clueless (not the ER doctors are much better, but at least they have the good drugs and testing equipment).

    Healing thoughts your way.

  2. Blech--doctors--I avoid them at all costs. Who are they (or their snippy assistants) to say that you aren't having a reaction to the steroids? Or the antibiotics?

Feel better soon--now that nice weather has finally arrived it's time to be outside in the garden enjoying all the pretty growing things.

  7. You poor baby. I'm going to have to call you and just perk up your day for just a little bit. I'm sorry you still have all that caca in you lungs. Please be careful...my mother had it and was in the hospital for a month and was very sick. Steroids suck after you come off of them, but yes, I was warned about the allergy to it and complications from it. Doctors, can't live with them, can't live without them.

As for giving birth naturally, I did all three times...never intended to, but that's just how it happened. I recall telling my ex that if he didn't stop rubbing my leg, after telling him 3 times to stop, I was going to rip it out of his socket and stick it where the sun don't shine!! The brain is really impressive during those birthing moments!! LOLOLOL!!

Take care, my buddy, and I'll be calling you next week.

Love ya mucho as do the B&G,
    G

  11. Get your butt back in bed and rest. Steroids make me nutty too, I've been on them before and I hate them. Take care of yourself. Hope you're on the mend soon.
