I just have to ask.......

Did anyone else see the latest Harry Potter? I know I am always a day late and more than a dollar short as far as timing is concerned. I can't stand to go to the movies and have to play elbow hockey with the crowds, so we wait for the fervor to die down.

What did you think?

How did you feel at the end of the middle of the last book?

I am asking because, we decided to go see it today and I thought it was blah, grey and boring. There has always been magick included in the screen plays prior to this one. Oh yes, I have read the book and knew it was going to be dark but I still expected there to be a feeling of magick and it was a very disappointing, flat cinema.

Let me know what you think.

  1. I haven't seen it yet, but I also haven't read the final book yet so I'll be going in with no idea what's going to happen. I mean, when we decide it's worth it for us to shell out the ludicrous amount of money to see it in theaters rather than wait for it to come out on DVD. ;)

  2. I saw it yesterday funnily enough. I enjoyed it in as much as I knew it was really just scene setting for the final hurrah next summer. It was fab though, there were only about 8 other people there and it was one of the big screens at the cinema, loads of room, and no disturbance :oD

  3. I am probably one of the few Americans who has neither read nor seen Harry Potter. No real reason, just haven't gotten around to it.
Pretty sure someday I'll start the series on Netflix. I am known for being late to the table.

  4. I havent seen it yet. like you I wanted to wait til crowds slowed down and well just have not gotten around to it. I was a bit disappointed in the last one as compared to all others. was hoping this one would be better...

  5. I saw it...I actually thought that it was pretty good...compared to the other movies. I was a bit disappointed by the aspects that they cut out- pieces of the wedding, they kinda glossed right over mad eye....but we will see what the next one brings....

  6. ~we haven't seen it yet either but i have heard mixed reviews...from it being just wonderful to others saying how dark it i am still pondering if we go or just wait for it to come out on dvd...what i am waiting even more for is The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader !!! oh i just just just can't wait!!! can you sense my excitement...hehehe...wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend ahead...much l♥ve and light upon you always~

  7. I'm not into Harry Potter, but while I was in Austin assisting Andria during her recovery, Sean (the 4 million year old midget)and I watched the next to the last installment. I loved it! Of course, it helped to have someone there to answer any questions I might have had and I had plenty...if we had gone to the theatre, I'm sure we would have been tossed out for talking too much!! LOL

So a week after my return, Andria hears about a contest a local radio station was having for free Potter movie tickets for the premier in that area of Austin. She and the whole dam-fam went to the station and scored free tickets for the premier and 4 more for the usual showings. Sean went with a couple of Andria's friends, adult Potter fanatics, and he went in full garb!! According to him, he loved it, but then he's 10, really smart kid, but none-the-less, 10!! So I can't really say.

Sometimes, it's best to just read a book and opt out on the movie and sometimes, it's best to see the movie and opt out of reading the book!!

    Loves ya,

  8. I haven't seen any since the 3rd one. I'm just big on sequels, then sequels to the sequels, etc... Call me a poop!

  9. I received your lovely card in the mail today. What a happy surprise! Thank you so much!

I haven't seen it yet. Like you, I hate going to the theater for movies so I will patiently wait for the DVD.

I love to hear from you. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
