Sitting on the dock of the bay....

don't I wish.

I am longing for some staring at water and wasting time, time.

I miss the ocean.....it is calling my name. Actually  it is compelling me in a way that I have never experienced. For those of you who can just jump in your car or bike and go to the shore and watch the waves pound on the beach or rocks.....just know how lucky I think you are. (BTW, Joe says I'm getting a wrong number on this....it's actually the streams up north that are calling my name. WRONG).

The closest I came to that water rich feeling this week was when the grands sprayed me down with the hose when I wasn't expecting it. Wasn't exactly sea spray.....if you get my drift.

  1. Two of my favorite things are oceans and mountains. I'd be happy either place. One of my sisters has a house near the ocean and another one in the mountains. I'm not as lucky. I can only dream. Here's to sitting on the dock by the bay. Enjoy your day dear friend. Hugs

  2. While your body is not near the ocean, let the images on Pinterest wash over you and bring you happiness. I know not the real thing but it's nice to lose yourself in images :)

  3. I'm with you, Llnda. I could use a big dose of ocean right about now.
One of these days I will head down to my son's house in Charleston and get me some ocean time. Just not in the cards right now.
I guess we'll have to close our eyes, listen to this great song, and let our imagination take us there.

  4. Well, if the call is intense enough, there will obviously be some solution presenting itself to you. Where there's a will, there's a way (to the ocean, that is!!) Hang in there, BB!! Love ya!

  5. Bummer. I was on the beach at 4am last Sunday, trying to work out whether or not the Atlantic was about to drench my feet in the pitch black and worrying, as you do when slightly drunk, about the fact that the harbour across the bay had 2 starboard lights, but only 1 port one and that boats might crash...

  6. I have to admit, I have never been really attracted to the ocean. I thought it was beautiful, though. But, then a couple of years ago, we went to Atlantic City and waking up to the ocean every morning and going to bed with it every night, is something I truly miss! It was amazing! And, my hair was so fluffy! My hair has never been like that before! Close your eyes and dream of the ocean. Let your mind take you there ;o) Hugs ;o)

  7. I always said I either had to be near water or have clear view of land. Wow, wouldn't it be wonderful to have both? Hold a conch shell to your ear, close your eyes and enjoy.

  8. I haven't seen the ocean in a while, I miss it, too. I should probably head to a nearby beach and pretend they are less polluted than they appear *sigh*

  9. The ocean has always been somewhere that I go to clear my head and get a new direction. I totally get where you are coming from. Hope you get to the ocean soon. :-)

  10. I'm heading to the beach this afternoon. I will think of you and some some peaceful wavy energy to you. When I lived in Richmond for 6 years, this Jersey Girl who has never lived more than 20 minutes from my beloved sea actually had physical pains when I would think of Her. I will NEVER take her for granted again.

  11. I want to send you something... I remember driving across the country and by the time I got to the beautiful state you live in, I just wanted to get to the other ocean. I'm sending you an email now.
