The donkeys called our names again.....

On Sunday we were invited to go to 7MSN Ranch and all of us were Cuckoo about going and meeting the donkeys, horse, pig, chickens and of course Linda Carson, photog extraodinaire and animal lover supreme.

We have been fans of 7MSN for 3 years now and can give you book and verse when it comes to the blog. The grands gather round the computer every morning before they go to program or to school. There is always something going on out there in the wilderness not too far from where Casa de Cuckoo is.

I must tell you that I expected to be overwhelmed by the beauty because Linda Carson lives in one of the prettiest parts of New Mexico. But I was just flat out mesmerized by the beauty of her surrounds. Her neighborhood is really off the beaten track and she has 360 degree vistas of beauty.

We had the pleasure and joy of meeting and interacting with Hank the horse, Winona the pig, the chickens, Lucy the fabulous gaited riding donkey, George, the perfect Abbott to Alan's Costello. We did not see Mr. P, nor did we see the snakes and mice of 7MSN. We did see lots of neighbor cows and a couple of coyotes on our ride to and from the hardtop road.

GK and Ry (alias Butch and Sundance Cuckoo) got to ride Lucy and we all got to enjoy the hospitality of all the critters and as well as the owner of 7MSN Ranch. What a joy it was.

I now have a mad crush on Handsome Hank the horse. He took a liking to me and kept this Olde Bagg company while the youngun's and Carson were busy with Lucy and the Boyz. Hank is a hoot, more like a dog than I ever knew a horse could be. What a sweetheart he was, even licked us and gave us shoulder nibbles and was very vocal as well. He aimed to please in the entertainment department.
Just chillin' with his new friends
It was a super way to spend a Sunday with 7MSN and Casa de Cuckoo finally meeting and enjoying the time.

  7. Hank would have won me over too. I had a horse that followed me around like a puppy. I had to get him a pony to play with so I could get some work done. They are sweet animals.

  9. I would have been in hog heaven on that trip. I have never ridden a donkey...I would like the chance. I fall in love with most equines immediately and still miss mine.
