CELEBRATE OZ 2013 - Sign up page

Well I think everything is about ready. I've consulted with the Professor Marvel and all the weather signs point to a perfectly providential prognostication of a smashing good time.

I've visited with Dorothy, the Lion, Tinman and Scarecrow and they are all raring to head down the yellow brick road. As a matter of fact they are making special arrangements to have the road cleaned and swept so that it will be easier for you all to find your way to the Emerald City.

I dare say that it could be slightly different than last year's fun since we are taking a juxtapositional viewpoint....that is to say aLteReD approach to our celebration. If you need further explanation about the event, just go up to the top of this blog, and go into the page marked Celebrate Oz 2013, there is information there.

Now don't be a scaredy Lion and think that you can't alter......I know you can. Altered is just as easy as oiling your squeaky joins, or thinking a thunk. You just have to click your heels together and say, "I know I can alter, I know I can alter" and you'll find out it was in you all along.

The whole thought of changing our celebration up a little this year came with a gift I was given by SunshineShelle. I won her give away last year, why yes I am shameless when it comes to entering giveaways and received this wonderful plaque.

Along with the plaque came the art that we are using this year as our participants button. The title of this altered bit of Oz is, "Frida had no idea how she ended up in Kansas". Dorothy as Frida Kahlo is just divine. She is still Dorothy but with a difference to her appearance.....this is the essence of aLteREd.

I don't do a whole lot of rules so I'll just say: leave a comment with your name as you would like it displayed in the participants list, your blog addy and then so that you aren't embarrassed....write down the date or put it in your computer calendar so that on March 15th we aren't wondering where in Oz are you? Please post your entry by 8am EST March 15th so that everyone will be able to enjoy what you have contributed. And if you aren't going to be able to join in the fun.....let me know and I'll remove your info.

It is not necessary to have a giveaway with your entry. That is totally up to you. But I would ask that you leave a comment on all the entries that you do visit. Everybody loves to know that their work has been viewed.
